Bernie Sanders – it was a heart attack… (Video)

Bernie Sanders’ campaign announced today (Friday Oct. 4th) for the first time that he was hospitalized after a heart attack…

This evening, Bernie Sanders’ doctors at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas said he was diagnosed with a heart attack after going to an outside facility and then transferred to their hospital. Sanders’ staff initially revealed little information about his condition beyond the stent procedure.

Sanders’ physicians Arjun Gururaj and Arturo E. Marchand Jr. said that Mr. Sanders was stable once he arrived at Desert Springs and then immediately treated at the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Arjun Gururaj and Arturo E. Marchand Jr. said

“His hospital course was uneventful with good expected progress. He was discharged with instructions to follow up with his personal physician,”

Sanders said in a statement.

“After two-and-a-half days in the hospital, I feel great, and after taking a short time off, I look forward to getting back to work,”

After he was hospitalized, Sanders’ campaign canceled several events this week.

His aides said Thursday that he would participate in the Oct. 15th debate in Ohio.

In a Tweet Video Sanders said, “Hello, everybody. We’re in Las Vegas. I just got out of the hospital a few hours ago, and I’m feeling so much better. I just want to thank all of you for the love and warm wishes that you sent to me. See you soon on the campaign trail.” Sanders’ wife, Jane, added, “Thank you all so much. It really made a difference.”
