William P. Barr Declined President’s Request to Declare Nothing Illegal in Ukraine Call

According to two people with knowledge of the matter, and according to New York Times report today, and The Washington Post Mr. Barr declined 

President’s request came shortly after the White House released the 25th of July Call Transcript in which the president pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch investigations into the Biden family and other Democrats.

Based on the New York Times report today, for days after the 25th of July Phone call reconstructed transcript was released to the public, the White House told the Justice Department of President’s desire for Mr. Barr to appear publicly, according to the person who was told of it. The request was first reported by The Washington Post.

President Drumpf wanted Attorney General William P. Barr to deliver personally the message to the media that the President had done nothing wrong,
